bonafide's thread reminded me of this and how unethical and insensitive it was for jehovah's witnesses meetings to go on without stopping while some rank and file members were having medical emergencies right in the kingdom hall.

my experience i will never forget.. in 1983 i was among some pioneers who were giving experiences at a circuit assembly in front of a crowd of about 2,000. this 83 year old sister was standing at the microphone and when she got done with her part - she sat next to me in her chair on the stage.

Tired of the Hypocrisy

Once in West Sacramento, CA a sister was carrying her newborn child to the back to feed I assume. I was sitting in the back as an attendant when I saw her get up and walk past her husband toward the aisle. When she got past him he stuck out his foot and lifted up her foot and tripped her. She fell on her elbows but did not put any weight on the baby. I immediately rushed to help her as did my dad and another brother. The husband sat there and did nothing. The speaker did nothing, just kept on droning on and on about how wonderful his trip to Patterson was. The po came to the back and told us to take her outside to wait for the ambulance I had called. It was raining and windy so a sister attender them in the ladie's room and I waited by the open door for ems.

Baby and mom were in perfect health. I tripped her husband everytime I saw the sumbitch.

Star Trek

okay, i have to confess, i like star trek.

i like voyager best, of the tv series.. anyway, tonight they had a sneak peek of the new star trek movie and we went.

it was really good!.

Tired of the Hypocrisy

I really only liked the Original series until the second season of Next generation. The other series to me are nonesense. The first two searies had a ship on missions where each week you went to a new place and met new monsters or obstacles to overcome. Deep space nine was like a soap opera in space and voyager just never grabbed me even though it had good action. Enterprise was ok, but I never got to see more than an episode every month or so.

As far as the movies go, I only liked the movies with the original series cast. The next generation movies blew chunks in my opinion. I have high hopes that this new movie will R O C K

Meetings before service at least 5 per week

Everytime they feel a Deemuhn tickling their ear 7,000,000 a day. It's no wonder.

An Increase in Knowledge

when a civilization has an increase in knowledge, those in power loose their 'mystery' and thus their control.. when the little people have access to knowledge they have previously been denied, many things come to light.. as a result, those in authority suffer and become objects of contempt.. the people realize they have been played for superstitutious fools.. they have been manipulated and deceived.. .

they have to be silenced, and the information must be denied before they can know every complete mystery.. perhaps this is what happened at the tower of babble.

people came together sharing knowledge, babbling.

should the 'burning bush' be any great mystery to us, knowing there are so many fissures in the ground leaking gas in that part of the world?.

And I thought this was going to be a thread on Crabs or vd....LOL

Actually, I have looked into some of these gas leaks and other phenomena and don't see a coralation with Moses' burning bush. However, it does present a strong incentive for me to dig deeper and explore the possibilities.
